As people make suggestion for how to improve the code, I'll include details here.

If you have too much text in a text box, it becomes horrible eldritch tongue:

You can make the below changes to allow the box to expand for additional text. Squicks are used as an example but this should work on any of the smaller status box areas.

1. Change the 'height' of the containing div style from '12px' to 'fit-content'.
2. Remove the entire 'line-height: .1;' from the i style:
