Arrival

Arrivals
You wake up in an unfamiliar bedroom with the memory of the deal you made fresh in your mind. A part of your body throbs, as if it has been freshly branded – because it has been. To make matters worse, as soon as you wake an incredibly loud announcement rings out across all the land: NEW ARRIVAL, NEW ARRIVAL! LOOK LIVELY, THERE'S A NEW ARRIVAL! You have been heralded and you haven't even had your coffee yet. Also, what the heck are you wearing?

If your character chooses so, they can also read the pamphlet that has been left on the pillow next to them. If not, well, good luck.
Starter OOC Info
Upon entering Pyrite, characters have already had a brief interaction with their team god, and made a small sacrifice and gained something for it. (This was in your application!) Whatever they lost and gained remains in effect upon entry.

Characters also all signed a binding contract of continued sacrifice for exchange for obtaining one wish at the same time the god obtains freedom.

The brand that your character has is the mark of their god. This could be on the palm of a hand, the sole of a foot, the tongue, etc, it varies per person and is your choice OOCly. The only real guidelines are 1. the brand must be visible (so no being branded on your kidney, sorry, tongue and eyelid are as 'hidden' as it can be) and 2. it must be intelligible, so it can't be too small to be read. These brands cannot be removed, if a character tries to carve them off or mutilate/change them they will simply regrow/be rebranded painfully. There may also be additional consequences with the god of their cult.

All of the character's items and previous clothing has vanished. They are dressed in a single outfit in the aesthetic of their god. Glasses/contacts that are needed for vision purposes will remain as well as crutches/canes/wheelchairs and similar for mobility but instead of whatever custom version a character might have, these are as basic as can be. If a character traded a leg or their vision or something similar they will not have a prosthetic or glasses. Any SciFi or fantasy item that aids them (jet powered legs, robot eyes that scan, magically enhanced ears etc) will be downgraded to the most base design or be missing. If it is some kind of magical item what grants them cool powers they will not have it unless they need it to live in which case it will be depowered to it's weakest possible iteration. If a character is inhuman and has these advantages (is a furry with cat ears that hear better, or is a robot with stronger bone structure, etc) they will keep those but they will follow the power nerf guidelines.

Each team has a googledoc where details of changes made to the Temples can be maintained found here. Please discuss with your team in Discord to find out which bedroom your character will be getting. When characters drop, all their stuff remains in place.

And that should be enough to get you started! For anything else, don't be shy about asking in Discord, and we also have a handy Cheatsheet for easy reference as well as a more in-depth Mechanics Page.
